Whilst MH Computers Ltd shall make every effort to preserve the integrity of equipment left for repair, the Client agrees not to hold MH Computers Ltd liable for any accidental damage to the said equipment including but not limited to – casing cracks, scratches, deformations, theft of the equipment etc.
Additionally, MH Computers Ltd cannot be held liable for any loss of data, loss of revenue or profits, or any incidental, contingent, or consequential damages, howsoever caused either prior, during a service or upon completion of a service.
MH Computers Ltd liability of any kind with respect to services undertaken, including any negligence on its part, shall be limited to the contract price for the services provided.

MH Computers Ltd provides a 14-day warranty on ‘labour only’ repairs carried out on computer equipment requested by the Client. MH Computers Ltd makes no warranty for data or computer files either expressed or implied. MH Computers Ltd disclaims any data warranty of any kind. If the same problem re-occurs within 14 days of the original repair, MH Computers Ltd will undertake the repair again without charge. However, charges will be incurred should additional parts are required. This warranty excludes faults caused by viruses or software issues. Warranties on devices such as printers and new laptops will be with the OEM, so its important you read the manuals as in certain cases you may need to do an online registration of the product so that you can deal with the OEM direct.
All computer parts supplied by MH Computers Ltd that are new come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of repair completion; or collection date of your device. In some instances, we may offer second hand or used parts at a reduced cost. The Client will be consulted if they are willing to accept second hand or used parts prior to fitting. No warranty will be provided with second hand or used parts.
Any warranty offered will become invalid if the manufacturers marked label is removed or tampered with in any way from the parts installed during a repair. MH Computers Ltd often use warranty stickers and just like manufacturers labels, ANY warranty will be void if this label is damaged or is missing. If the warranty stickers have been tampered with in anyway this will invalidate your warranty on ALL your parts in the custom-built gaming or desktop PC. Any modifications such as overclocking of the CPU or any other ‘mods’ will also invalidate your warranty on ALL the parts in the custom-built gaming or desktop PC. If someone else has inspected or tried repairing any issue before consulting is first may deem your warranty invalid so always get in touch first.
Parts are only covered under warranty that fail due to manufacturing defects for the said parts and confirmed by the component manufacturer. Should the part fail because of mishandling of the computer equipment or inadequate subsequent servicing or failure from “fair wear and tear” the warranty becomes invalid.
Damage to a computer system or its components supplied by MH Computers Ltd under a repair contract caused by a power surge or spikes, including but not limited to mains power and telecoms connections or other unspecified sources e.g. voltage fluctuation, amperage fluctuation, water ingress are not covered under the warranty. MH Computers Ltd do not PAT Test any refurbished or used equipment as this is the responsibility of the new owner if they so wish.
Furthermore, the warranty does not cover for any loss or damage due to negligence, mishandling, accidents, theft, water flooding, war outbreak, electrical storms, fire outbreak, earthquakes, or any other act of God.
During the performance of our services, we may affect a manufacturer’s warranty validity. It is the Clients responsibility to determine the consequences of our services on any manufacturer’s warranty and take the appropriate action necessary.
All new devices come with a 12 month warranty unless otherwise stated.
Refurbished Laptops & PC Warranty
When you buy a refurbished laptop, PC or Server from MH Computers Ltd the device will already be a minimum of 12 months old but generally our devices are 3+ years old. This is because most of our refurbished stock has been taken from corporate business where they have had a 3 year changeout, schools, MOD or the police. For this we want our customers to be aware of this and that when buying a refurbished product it will have been used significantly before. All hard drives are data wiped and error checked, however generally we fit new SSD Drives and again we will make the customer aware of this. You will receive a 90 day warranty on your purchase starting from the day you bought it and providing it hasn’t been mistreated in the way of a virus or physically damaged ie liquid or dropped, this will stand.
With any purchase from a retailer you are covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations if the laptop, PC or server develops a fault. Under that Act, you have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund – as long as you do it within 30 days from the date you take ownership of the device. After 30 days, you won’t be entitled to a full refund but we may offer a repair or replacement depending on if the fault was due to mis-treatment either physically or by means of a virus or malware. Any device that is found to contain any virus, malware or explicit material will NOT be covered under any warranties as this is the new owners fault.
No Fix – No Fee Policy
MH Computers Ltd “No Fix – No Fee” policy means that if an Engineer cannot fix the problem with the equipment or does not possess the necessary technical skills, knowledge or ability to resolve the problem or effect the repair, then in this instance there is a “No Charge” for the services provided to the Client. It is at our Engineers discretion whether a repair is possible. It is agreed however that we must be given sufficient time and access to the equipment to diagnose the problems.
However, if the Engineer can resolve the problem but is prevented from doing so by the Client instructing the Engineer not to proceed with the service or repair, then in this instance, the Client will be charged for the time spent up until that point (a minimum of 2 hours at the standard hourly rate).
Additionally, if the Engineer can resolve the problem but prevented from doing so because the Client does not possess the required accessories, there is a product conflict with the equipment that’s been provided, the CD for third party software or software Product Key, then in this instance the Client will be charged for the time spent up until that point (a minimum of 2 hours at the standard hourly rate).
Furthermore, if the Engineer provides a clear and precise diagnosis of the equipment/component, however the Client decides not to proceed with the repair or replacement of the said equipment/component, then the Client will be charged for the time spent up until that point (a minimum of 2 hours at the standard hourly rate).
For engineer call outs any equipment provided by the Client that fails to work correctly or has not previously been seen by the engineer until the day of the repair will not be covered by the no fix – no fee policy. Often products have compatibility issues with others, so the client will be informed of this and the option of a revisit (at an additional cost) but a call out will still be applicable in this case for the time spent (a minimum of 2 hours at the standard hourly rate).
This policy does not apply to work performed to recover data, solve computer virus, malware or spyware issues or in cases in which the equipment was affected by a lightning strike.
MH Computers Ltd do not offer training nor do we offer ‘free’ advice on how to repair or use a client or strangers device over the phone, text or by email. Training will only be given if this is agreed with the client in writing and will be chargeable at the usual hourly rate. Please don’t ask for free advice as we are very busy all the time and refusal often offends.
Before making a deposit to MH Computers Ltd please be clear what the deposit is for and that you are totally happy with the information on the proforma invoice.
Make sure you are clear about any options, like the make, model, specification or delivery date, and please ask if you are not 100% clear or ask us to confirm this in writing on your receipt

All deposits will be prior agreed via email or text. Verbal agreements will not be accepted.
If we provided a quotation and subsequently discover that the quote is incorrect, we reserve the right to cancel the order and return your equipment without any repairs carried out. We will contact you at the earliest convenience to advise you of the situation and you will be given the option to proceed based on a new revised quotation or the order can be cancelled.
If you choose to cancel the order, any monies paid in advance for the repairs will be refunded in full.
